Balance

The person who is a master in the art of living makes little distinction between their work and their play, their labor and their leisure, their mind and their body, their education and their recreation, their love and their religion. They hardly know which is which. They simply pursue their vision of excellence and grace in whatever they do, leaving others to decide whether they are working or playing. To them they are always doing both. (Taken from the Zen Buddhist Text.)

How many times during the past week have you been at work and found yourself worrying about something in your personal life? What about when you are home…do you catch yourself focusing on a problem at work rather than the people you are with or the task at hand?

With so many demands on you each day, how do you develop the clarity of purpose and focus that would allow your life to be more like the vision of the Zen Buddhist? It is more than time management. It is about gaining a better understanding of what is truly important to you and then incorporating more of those elements into your daily life in a way that becomes effortless.

So lets look at where you are now by completing the following Wheel of Life exercise.

Personal wheel. Business wheel.

If you were driving down the road on this wheel, how smooth would the ride be? Give yourself a pat on the back for all the areas where you rated yourself as being highly satisfied. Then look at the areas where you were least satisfied. Creating a clear focus and strategies for improving those areas of your life will go a long way in smoothing out your ride on the Wheel of Life.

This is where I can be of service to you. Together we will look at where you are now, where you want to be, and create the strategies and take the actions that will lead to higher levels of fulfillment and balance in your life.
